Anticipation

We are anticipating Christmas around here...

We look forward to the time we get to spend with our families.
We get excited to think of the happy faces from gifts that will be opened.
We are enjoying the twinkly lights on the outside and inside of our home.
We remember the babe in the manger...who truly was the Word become Flesh.

We count these things as blessings.

Its hard to imagine Christmas without these things. We get the monthly newsletter from our local mission and I love to look at the faces in the pictures. Mostly the pictures are of people who are getting help there. A real reminder of families who are going without; without a warm home, without a job, without a loved one, and most of all without the realization of what Christmas is all about. I am thankful for our local mission, making a difference for others.

Beginnings...
